Melbourne Attractions

Melbourne has many attractions. Use the images below to read a lot more about Melbourne attractions:

Melbourne has many attractions, indoors and outdoors to suit all age groups and interests.

If you like getting out and about, there are some lovely parks and gardens to explore. On a good day you can walk for miles, along the Yarra River through the Alexandra Gardens, and then into the Kings Domain, which has the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Queen Victoria gardens and the iconic Shrine of Remembrance, with its perpetual flame.

Family attractions are abundant here, with the Melbourne Zoo being a real highlight. Like your creatures in water? Then visit the very trendy Melbourne Aquarium, which invites you to not only look but feel as well! You could easily spend a day at the Melbourne Museum and near there is the Imax theatre. Kids and adults will love science works, where science really is fun.

A trip to the iconic MCG (Melbourne Cricket ground) is a must. Even if you don’t get to see a game of AFL or watch a test match you can still explore the Gallery of Sport and Olympic Museum here.

The arts precinct in Melbourne will satisfy your cultural side with the National gallery of Australia hosting some rare international exhibitions as well as highlighting some of Australia’s most famous artists. Just across the road is Federation Square, the weird and trendy design, really got Melbourne talking when it was under construction but now is a great location for art and entertainment and just sitting around and watching the world go by.
